Domestic Violence

Work for the victims of domestic violence in Australia

One of the grimmest social problems that Australia is facing today is domestic violence. It is causing several women and minor girls in Australia to be homeless and deprived. A significant national health and welfare issue, domestic violence in Australia can even have far-reaching lifelong impacts on victims and perpetrators.

According to the reports from the ‘Family, domestic and sexual violence in Australia: continuing the national story 2019’, 1 in 6 women which is 17% or 1.6 million have experienced physical and sexual violence from an intimate partner. The report also highlights that, 1 in 4 women which is 23% or 2.2 million have witnessed emotional abuse by a current or former partner since the age of 15.

All these figures are enough to tell you that, jobs working with domestic violence victims for ensuring them a better and happy life is no longer an option but a necessity. At WA Suffragettes, we create job opportunities for compassionate individuals who work for the well-being and safety of domestic violence victims. Our workers can also help them take up the courage to stand up for themselves and speak up against the atrocities meted out to them by their close family members and partners.

Dedicated support and counselling services

If you know someone who has been a victim of family or domestic violence for a long time, let us know about it. We will try to reach out to such victims and offer them the much-needed shelter and respite to them. Our WA Suffragettes experts working in domestic violence services will also provide them with medical help and counselling so that they do not have to lead a life of fear and anxiety.

Our specialised domestic violence counsellor jobs are created with a focus to provide homeless and tormented Australian citizens to fundamental right to lead a life of security and dignity. We also strongly believe that all this cannot materialise effectively unless the political machinery is in favour. Hence, join us to form a political party to work against eradicating domestic violence entirely and create a safer and happier Australia.
